The sacrament of Holy Communion will be offered in worship at Okemos Community Church next on Sunday, May 6th, at the 9:30 a.m. service only, also by intinction. If you would like the Sacrament brought to you in your home, please phone the Okemos Community Church office at 517-349-4220. Arrangements will be made for one of the pastors to visit you.
Summer Church Camp

This is the time to plan on attending a SUMMER CHURCH CAMP. The West Michigan Conference of the United Methodist Church has several wonderful camps for elementary children, youth and adults. There are camp brochures in the Okemos Community church office that give a full description of the camps. DVD’s of some of the camps are available. If there is a financial limitation facing anyone, please contact Paul Hartman at the Okemos Community Church at 517-349-4220 to see if some support can be arranged. These camps fill quickly! So, think about summer, and plan your camping experience now.
Sunday on Saturday

Okemos Community Church is planning our next “Sunday on Saturday” for April 21st. at 5pm in Room 110. The Theme for Sunday on Saturday Service is “What is Forgiveness?”. Please join us for a wonderful time of worship and fellowship.
Attic Treasure & Rummage Sale
April 20&21
Okemos Community Church Attic Treasure & Rummage Sale will be April 20 & 21. (Our doors will open at 9 am both Sale Mornings.) We are accepting donations of clean, usable items Starting March 12. Due to very limited storage and other considerations, we can not accept: large furniture, large exercise equipment, any infant equipment subject to safety standards, dehumidifiers or humidifiers, Electronic equipment (computers, printers etc), building/repair supplies (paint, glue, odd tiles, lumber etc) The money raised by the sale will be used to support missions of the church, community and world. Donations can be dropped off in the lower level hall way during normal office hours(Monday 9-noon, Tuesday-Friday 9am-4pm). Please contact the Okemos Community Church office at 517-349-4220 as the lower level entrance may not be unlocked.
Youth News
April
April will be a little unusual with our regular Okemos Community Church youth fellowship activities. Be sure to check the times and locations for the following events. As always, you may invite your friends to participate. April 1, no Youth Fellowship meetings today as the Spring Break Work Project participants leave for Tennessee early this morning. Easter Sunday, April 8, no Youth Fellowship.
April 15, meet at the church at 2 pm, both middle and high school, to go on a photo scavenger hunt at the Meridian Mall. April 22, meet at the church at 2 pm, both middle and high school, for some table games. Saturday, April 28, high school youth meet at the church at 8:30 am to participate in the Rebuilding Together Day of home repair. If you are 14 by April, you may participate. Middle school youth should contact Paul Hartman to find out how they can support the project in other ways.
