We’re starting a capital campaign to improve our facilities.
After much planning, many
meetings, discussion and prayer, our congregation voted in late January to move forward
with securing funds to renovate and enhance our church.
The planned renovations will
help us more effectively use our space for the educational, administrative and social
functions of the church, complete deferred maintenance on our aging building to make it
more energy efficient and up to code, and make the church more appealing and inviting to
members and potential members alike.
A Capital Stewardship Campaign . . . just what is it?
A capital campaign is a process to raise the needed funds for our facility renovation.
It presents an opportunity for everyone in the church to get involved and includes a wide
array of tasks, large and small. Many members will be asked to help in some way: making
a few phone calls, providing hospitality, helping with mailings, etc. Don ’t worry, you won’t
have to talk to anyone about a pledge, nor will anyone be told what they have to give.
During the campaign you will receive information about our renovation plans, the campaign
and the principles of stewardship.
Watch your mailbox for mailings and invitations to
presentations, events and activities to help you learn more about the plans and how important
your participation in this effort is to the future o our church.
How Can You Help?
If everyone
accepts a small task, then together we can achieve our common goal! Here is a quick list of
